Samsung Galaxy flip cases BOGOF in O2 stores [Bargain]

image

Bog off! Yeah you with the Samsung Galaxy phone, you heard me. Bog off to your local O2 store and grab yourself a couple of clip-on flip cases.

Samsung do some great accessories, and one of my favourites is the flip style case that replaces the battery cover and adds a flip-over screen protector.

There are now a rainbow’s worth of colour options for the Galaxy S3, S3 Mini or Note 2, and best of all they’re currently buy one get one free at O2 stores for a limited time.

The cases normally go for £25, so if you fancy protecting your Samsung Galaxy phone and giving it a fresh wardrobe makeover for £12.50 a pop, then you best get down to your local O2 shop and tell them we sent you.

Thanks to eagle-eyed reader Justin Wilson for the tip-off.

Samsung offers Galaxy S III in pink, but only in Korea to start

Samsung adds pink to Galaxy SIII palette

In the last round of color additions to its flagship Galaxy S III smartphone, Samsung took a decidedly sombre tone, with new hues like Titanium Gray and Amber Brown. But, according to GSM Arena, the smartphone maker decided to lighten things up this time, going with a pale pink to round out its color selection for the model to a lucky seven -- but the new shade will only roll out to Korea, for now. It will go along with the original Marble White and Pebble Blue, plus the aforementioned dark colors which were accompanied by Garnet Red and Sapphire Black. There's no mention of availability stateside, but if you've been thinking of settling for a less capable model to matchy-match with Fifi, now you can go with power and panache.

Samsung reveals the design story highlights for the Galaxy S III

Samsung reveals the design story highlights for the GSIII,

Samsung was very keen to let us know that its latest flagship phone was designed for humans. Now, the latest in the revealing series from the firm gives a little more insight into how the team went about that. For example, product designer Hangil Song explains how the rounded edges were inspired by pebbles in a stream, while sound engineer Joongsam Yun describes how they wanted to make the phone sound like a stroll in the forest. So, next time you're barging your way down Mainstreet with four ounces of synthetic material blaring out Carly Rae Jepsen, remember, you're doing it wrong.

Verizon’s Galaxy S III gets global roaming workaround, packs its bags

Verizon's Galaxy S III gets global roaming workaround, packs its bags

What's the point of owning Samsung's shiny new flagship if you can't take it on tour? Well, prior to Verizon's Galaxy S III launch, customers were promised that global roaming would be enabled sometime in the future via an OTA update. That unspecified date has yet to come, but if it's something of a priority for you, XDA Developers forum member lair12 has discovered a way make it happen without Big Red's involvement. We feel we should add a warning here -- switching from LTE to GSM isn't a simple process and goes far beyond a basic rooting (which, of course, is required). It includes a fair amount of preparation, including manually adding GSM network identifiers, and several steps to switch allegiances once abroad. But if you're a jet-setting Android tinkerer interested in giving it a go (at your own peril), the step-by-step guide is just a source link away.
