Galaxy Note, Skyrocket get ICS

Samsung's Note and Skyrocket get a taste of Ice Cream Sandwich and the Note also gets a Premium Suite of apps

It looks like Android Ice Cream Sandwich is going to be on more handsets, as AT&T said the 4.0 version will be available for the Samsung Galaxy Note and the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket.

The update will bring a lot of new features that came with Ice Cream Sandwich including the ability to unlock the phone with your face and multiple, new camera options. Samsung has put its TouchWiz user interface on top of it, so the user experience will be very similar to what you're used to.

Along with Android 4.0, the Samsung Galaxy Note is also getting a Premium Suite of apps that will help you get the most out of that S Pen. This includes Shape Match, a Formula Match, Knowledge Search, a set of commonly used templates and the ability to import and annotate PDF files.

As for the rollout process itself, you're going to need to download the Samsung Kies upgrade software here. You'll need to connect your phone to your computer to get the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update and you can get the instructions for the Note here and the Skyrocket's info can be found here.
